What we’re solving
Matching the hatch and showing up when trout will eat is half art, half homework. The knowledge is scattered. Public flow and temp data exist, but they rarely sit next to bug and fish behavior in one honest place. We start regional, hand-picked, and gage-honest.

How close is the data?
Grades A–D for how well a gage matches the water you’re fishing. TBD where we don’t know. We never invent a USGS ID. Sample cards are labeled — not live.
Three ways to think about the map
Parent region: Southern Appalachians (NC–VA). Most anglers think in water type and elevation, not the state line.
NC Mountains
Pisgah and Nantahala freestones, wild National Forest water, Wild & Scenic corridors. Davidson C&R, South Mills wild, Wilson Creek.
VA Mountains
Blue Ridge, Mount Rogers, and SNP wild freestones and brookies. Whitetop Laurel special regs, Rapidan SNP — go gentle.
SE Tailwaters & Spring Creeks
Summer reroute water. Jackson and Smith tailwaters, Nantahala and Tuckasegee DH, Mossy Creek spring creek.
